How we collect, use and protect your personal data, in plain English. We only ask for what we need to reply to you and run your campaigns, and we never sell it.
01Who we are
Agency by SAP is the digital marketing and PR arm of Stephen Akintayo Production, based in Lagos, Nigeria. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Agency by SAP. We are the data controller for the personal data we collect through this website and our sales process.
We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Where we handle data about people in the United Kingdom or European Union, we also follow the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.
02What we collect
Information you give us
- Strategy call requests: your name, work email, WhatsApp or phone number, company name, website, country, industry, the services you're interested in, your 90-day goal, budget range, preferred start date and how you heard about us.
- AI Visibility Check: your brand name and work email.
- Messages: anything you send us by email, WhatsApp or social media.
- Client work: if you become a client, the information needed to run your campaigns, such as access to ad accounts, brand assets, customer lists you choose to share, and billing details.
Information collected automatically
- Basic device and usage data, such as browser type, pages visited, referring site and approximate location from your IP address, collected through essential cookies and privacy-friendly analytics.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
04AI tools and your data
We use AI tools for research, first drafts, editing and reporting. A human strategist reviews and approves everything that goes out.
- We only use AI providers whose business terms say they do not train their models on the data we send.
- We share the minimum information a task needs, and remove personal details where we can.
- We never use AI to create fake reviews, invented quotes or people presented as real.
06International transfers
We work with clients in Nigeria, the UK, the US and the UAE, and some of our providers store data outside Nigeria. When data leaves Nigeria, or the UK or EU, we use the safeguards the law requires, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
07How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become clients: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client records: for the length of the engagement, plus up to 6 years for tax and legal purposes.
- Analytics data: in aggregated or anonymised form, for up to 26 months.
08Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
- Delete your data, where we don't need to keep it
- Restrict or object to how we use it
- Move your data to another provider
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything done before
Email privacy@agencybysap.com and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. In the UK, contact the Information Commissioner's Office.
10Security
We use encrypted connections, access controls and two-factor authentication on the systems that hold your data, and only team members who need it can see it. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
11Children
Our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
12Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We'll post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date.
